Missouri Senate Unsung Heroes Award

The Find Kara Committee, are honored to be nominated, much less receive the award from the Missouri State Senate.  We were able to "listen in" live online while the proclamation was read for this award and are humbled by this experience in so many ways.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to Kara's family and the State for considering us, but sincerely consider this a tribute to our community rather than ourselves.  Without the support of our extremely caring residents, business owners & groups, it would not be possible to have raised the $30,000 that sits at Bank of Belton, waiting for Someone, Somewhere to tell us that one thing that we need to finally close this horror book for Kara's family and friends.  We are just 4 headstrong women who decided to band together to accomplish much more and Kara's family wanted to thank us, but we would rather thank you - for not turning away at our booths, for praying, for donating money for her fund, for giving us donation items when we come calling at your place of business, for the hugs, buying merchandise, walking with us, wearing the bracelet or shirt, giving your time to help for events, items for the garage sale, car magnets everywhere (etc., etc.) - that's the support we want to acknowledge from our big-hearted community.

We are not currently planning any events but are not leaving the cause by any means,
